Les Lius

The LES LIUS simulates the sounds of the vintage Fender amps. It has a toggle switch that allows you to change tones from Tweed Fender Deluxe, High Power Twin and Master Volume.

Enclosure and wiring Step 4 of 4

PLACEMENT

Mount the assembled PCB and the rest of the components (DC and 3.5 jack connectors, 9V battery clip, 3PDT foot switch, led...) in a metal enclosure. Connect the ground of the circuit to the enclosure (the GND of the input and output jacks are in contact with the enclosure). The following figure shows the components mounted in a 1590B enclosure.

Snap off the anti-rotation tab on top of the potentiometers with a pair of flat nose spliers.

WIRING

For the wiring, you should use 24 AWG stranded wire. Wire all the elements as indicated in the following diagram, for the ground (GND) no matter the order you use if all the elements are connected.You can power up the circuit with DC adapter (9V) or a battery. The diagram shows the connections to use the DC connector as negative tip (standardized Boss style 2.1 mm with a negative tip orientation).
